Northstar Living Pte Ltd ("Northstar Lighting", "we", "us") operates northstarlighting.sg (the "Website"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Website and our showroom enquiries, how we use it, and your choices, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Personal data we collect

Enquiries: when you use our contact form or message us on WhatsApp, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and the contents of your message.
Showroom bookings: when you book a showroom visit, we collect your name, contact details and preferred appointment time through our booking provider, Calendly.
Accounts and orders: if you create an account or place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details. Payments are handled by our payment providers, and we do not store your card details.
Website use: we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to make the Website work and to understand how it is used. This may include your device and browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location.

2. How we use your personal data

to reply to your enquiries and arrange showroom visits and quotations;
to process orders, deliveries, warranty claims and after-sales support;
to send you updates and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time);
to improve the Website and measure how well our advertising works; and
to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website platform (Shopify), booking provider (Calendly), email and messaging providers, delivery partners, and advertising and analytics providers (for example Meta and Google), or where the law requires us to. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your data.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner on our Website, and you can also change your browser settings to block cookies. Some parts of the Website may not work properly without essential cookies.

5. Keeping your data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal and business requirements. We use reasonable security arrangements to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take steps to make sure your data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

We will respond within a reasonable time. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue providing some services to you.
